We live in a world where we bow down to the opinions of ourselves and others more than the still, small voice of God. His invitation to us is still to lie down in green pastures; His quiet voice inspires confidence, assurance, and peace. Don’t let the loud, clanging voices of your own mind, social media, or others override the still, small voice of a God who longs to give you peace.
Grandparents can be instrumental in the life of their grandchild's life. But how do you navigate this new season in an age where smartphones and social media reigns supreme? Our guest, Chrys Howard, has written a book on how to be a "Rockstar Grandparent." The mother of Duck Dynasty's Korie Robertson and grandmother to Sadie Robertson, she shares on the valuable role of a grandparent and the importance of leaving a legacy that endures through generations.
"Like all moms, Chrys wears many hats. She is a teacher by training and spent twelve years teaching children with learning differences. In 1998, she joined the family business, Howard Publishing, where she served as a Senior Editor. In 2005, Howard founded "It’s a Mom Thing" ministries, which brought live mom-honoring events to our area for several years. Currently, Howard hosts a weekly radio show by that name covering topics that are relevant to moms of all ages and in all stages."

What is it that you actually need? Sometimes we think we need material or tangible possessions when we actually need spiritual qualities. We think we need that new car when we actually need to be content. We think we need our husband to change, but we actually need to change. Find out why God is more concerned with meeting our needs rather than our wants in today’s podcast.
You may find yourself in a place that was once fruitful, but you stayed too long and that place has become a source of bondage. God might be moving you on from that job or relationship that was once challenging, but has since fed your complacency. Begin crying out to God for direction in decision-making.
Out in theaters across America today, we are talking with the cast of the new move, "Breakthrough". We have the amazing opportunity to hear about how this movie went from book to the big-screen from the producer Devon Franklin and director Roxann Dawson. Then, hear from the real-life John Smith, the high school student who slipped through a frozen lake and was dead for 60 minutes, whose life is portrayed in the movie. Finally, hear from lead actress, Chrissy Metz, from the hit television show "This Is Us", who portrays the mother in the film. You do not want to miss this incredible story about what happens when we come to the end of ourselves and put our trust in an amazing, powerful God for a breakthrough.
"BREAKTHROUGH is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds. When Joyce Smith’s adopted son John falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her steadfast belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John’s recovery, even in the face of every case history and scientific prediction."
Opening in theaters April 17th, 2019.
We had the honor of interviewing Reverend Dr. Samuel Rodriguez for the show! "God won’t give you more than you can handle." Really?

He discusses his latest book, "9 Common Lies Christians Believe" and the importance of understanding God's Word to combat unbiblical lies!

Our response to our sin is not God’s response. When we know we have sinned, we often turn from God because of our guilt when He is actively looking for us, just like He showed up for His walk with Adam and Eve right after they sinned against Him in the Garden of Eden. Nothing you can do can stop God from desiring community and a relationship with you. Even in our sins He is saying “Where are you?”. Grab the word of God, pray, listen to worship and say “Here I am, Lord. Put me back together.”
How hard are you trying? Really? In today’s culture, we give a little bit of ourselves to many things, but Autumn encourage you to give 1000% of your effort to the area of your life that needs addressing! In II Kings, Elisha gave Joash the opportunity to defeat Aram by striking the ground with arrows, but he only struck three times instead of the multiple times he COULD have. On the other side of you working really hard on that one thing lies a great marriage, financial freedom, or the call of God on your life. I encourage you today to strike that ground as many times as you can with that arrow. Be diligent, work hard, and see what God will do.
